Clutch Hydraulic Plumbing

The SickSpeedMonte hydraulic clutch pedal conversion kits are offered with several adapter fittings and a standard hydraulic hose, allowing you to adapt either the F-body or the Universal master cylinders to just about any slave cylinder or transmission.  The hydraulic hose uses -4 AN (Army-Navy flare fittings, no pipe tape or paste needed) female connections on each end.  The -4 means that the inside diameter of the fitting or hose is 4/16″, or 1/4″.  

F-Body Master Cylinder Plumbing

The graphic below shows which products to select to plumb an F-body master cylinder to your slave cylinder.  (Alternatively, a factory GM hose can be used with a factory 3rd/4th gen F-body slave cylinder.)  The final adapter will need to be selected based on the slave cylinder used in your transmission.  The LT1 T56 with an external slave cylinder uses the Early GM style quick connect.  The LS style T56 uses the Late GM style quick connect.  There are two diameters used on the late style GM transmissions, so be sure to measure the diameter of the connection on the slave cylinder.

Universal Master Cylinder Plumbing

Plumbing a universal master cylinder is no more complicated than plumbing the F-body master cylinder.  The graphic below shows the products needed to plumb a Tilton 75-series master cylinder to your slave cylinder.  As described above with the F-body master cylinder, the final fitting needs to be matched to your slave cylinder.
