UMI’s bolt-in rear coilover bracket kit is a complete mounting solution for your Quick Performance axle in your 1978-1988 GM G-Body. This race-proven lower bracket bolts in using the adjustable trailing arm mounting holes. This bracket features a multi-position design to allow further fine tuning of ride height and shock location (±¾”). In addition to shock location adjustability, the UMI 3054 features five positions of trailing arm location adjustment to match the Quick Performance adjustable lower control arm brackets. This adjustment is popular on lowered cars, for drag racing traction, or whenever a geometry change is desired. The kit also features upper reinforcement tabs to distribute the load from the T-bar as well as complete upper and lower hardware. There is no cutting required and your car can be returned to stock at any time. 100% designed, manufactured and raced out of Philipsburg, PA-USA and always US materials. The included Viking shock is 19-way adjustable in both compression and rebound and ensures the perfect setting for every application. The 2-½” coilover springs are available in 14” 110lb for drag and street use, 12” 150lb for street and handling use and 12″ 225lb for autox / roadrace duty. Installation & Fitment Note: 3054 Coilover brackets are designed to fit Quick Performance 9” rear end housings ONLY and may not fit aftermarket rear ends. Rear shocks may not clear all exhaust tail pipes. UMI is not responsible for exhaust clearance issues.
Coilover brackets are engineered specifically to pair with Quick Performance adjustable lower control arm brackets. The 3054 will also fit on the Quick Performance single hole non-adjustable bracket but will not have the ability to adjust the lower control arms.
Application Guide:
Drag Racing – 110lb Spring
Drag Racing applications are available with a 110lb spring in conjunction with the -2″ to -3″ ride height or the -1″ to +1″ ride height. This package is best utilized on a lightened car. We recommend taking measurements for a fitment based on the desired ride height and tire combination.
Street Performance– 150lb Spring
Street applications are available with a 150lb spring in conjunction with the -2″ to -3″ ride height or the -1″ to +1″ ride height. We recommend taking measurements for a fitment based on the desired ride height and tire combination.
AutoX / Road Racing – 225 Spring
AutoX / Road Racing applications are available with a 225lb spring in conjunction with the -2″ to -3″ ride height. We recommend taking measurements for a fitment based on the desired ride height and tire combination.

Spanner Wrench & Thrust Bearing Kit: Spanner wrench tool is used to adjust vehicle height while shock stays mounted. This wrench is needed to make height adjustments. The thrust bearing kit is designed to be placed between the spring and the spring seat attached to the shock. This makes for easier adjustments since the spring seat is rotating on a bearing. This kit is recommended for easier adjustments but is not needed to complete the installation. We do not recommend adjusting height on the car without a thrust bearing kit.
Optional Shock Tower Brace P/N 3055- P/N 3055 is designed to tie the left and right rear shock towers together for additional chassis reinforcement. UMI’s P/N 3055 has been designed to clear most popular exhaust systems however fitment with all exhaust systems is not guaranteed.
